CROWD SOURCING FOR EM-1, BOKASHI, BIO-CHAR, BIO-GAS AND BIO DIVERSE CAFE.
ALSO , WHY AQUAPONICS OFFERS THE PERFECT DISTRACTION TO AMAZONIA JUNGLE DEFORESTATION AND IS THE ANSWER TO RESTRUCTURING THE SOILS AND CLEAN WATER IN THE RIVERS IN THIS REGION OF PERU.
HERE IS A BRIEF MESSAGE FROM PAUL EXALL IN MANCHESTER, UK, ON THE MATTER.
In brief We have been working for the past 4 years with EM technology in Manchester, England in its various applications. EM or effective micro organisms were developed by Teruo Higa to re-mediate chemically damaged land on the farms of Okinawa, Japan. It was and has been found to have a profound healing effect on the environment at large when introduced, soil, air and water including rivers and ocean as seen in the Seto inland sea project and elsewhere.
Our main work in Manchester has been with Bokashi composting and urban natural farming as well as initiating grass roots community led water rejuvenation projects. We started on a city lake in this summer past putting applications of activated EM as well as making EM mud balls. We will be resuming in the spring and spending the winter focusing on raising the funds to do so.
For the past 6 months we have been consulting with the MIP ( Mission I’m Possible, Peru) project based in Tarapoto which is in the amazon, Peru. The main body of the work has been in sharing of information relating to the processes around natural farming. Production of Bio char (an ancient amazonian technology) Bokashi composting and Bio gas. Dave Stewart and the team there have with very little resources help workshops for local farmers, have been in discussion with small villages and local indigenous quechuan presidents in and around various grass roots projects while putting into practice the technology spoken of, around the newly acquired center in Tarapoto.
They have been warming the local community up to the benefits off the various practices through demonstration at various sites, the whole team there working tirelessly and with unbounded enthusiasm. As well as working with natural healing technology and Initiating production of coconut oil while using the husk to produce Bio-char and Bokashi mixes on various community projects in the area to enhance the quality of the soil damaged by Local cafe, rice and cacoa farming.
Dave with the team both there and also the supportive global network that is growing due to the regular shows on blog talk radio with India Irie where progress has been broadcasted weekly are very motivated to do larger projects around water treatment both from the towns and villages that relate to the local rivers. The situation as it stands is pretty dire with a lot of run off from pig farms and rice farms in what is the upper amazon going into the Amazon tributaries and causing massive problems with the health of the eco systems down stream, alga blooms and so on.
The other process noticed by the MIP Peru Team is that all local authorities put Chlourine in the water which has adverse effects on local peoples Thyroid glands and filters back to polluting the rivers which can easily be reversed with some conscious imput and education.
Our idea is by converting the farming to natural chemical free processes and by introduction of the effective micro organisms on the land , rivers and in the towns and villages we can reverse the damage done through years of mismanagement and negative practices while ultimately being of financial benefit to the farmers and environment. We recognize the scale of the work at hand of course its a massive undertaking though the good news is its already happened elsewhere, so the models are there to follow and replicate. All it will take is getting community mobilized to do so and with adequate support this is the most effective technology we have for the job at hand.
Reforestation models are being looked and are central to the work as well as the great products that can be made by local communities to boost there economy while being of benefit to the surrounding forest and ecosystem overall.
Naturally we are looking into financial support as seed funding the enlarge our various projects. Crowd funding is being taken very seriously and filming is underway to launch the projects.
Please see links for projects that have been done elsewhere and a brief on EM technologies.
High regards and many thanks.
THANK YOU PAUL EXALL FOR YOUR EXPLANATION AND CONTRIBUTION.
Additional Comments by David Stewart Coordinator for MIP PERU.
You can see the devestation of the forests created by the local farmers here as you venture on into the jungles not far from the City of Tarapoto.
Having spoken to many Quechuan Presidents and Local Shaman tribes people it soon becomes evident that the reason this work is being carried out which creates such destruction and deforestation and ultimately leaches into the rivers and poisons the water, one has to ask the question why do the people need to farm cacao, cafe and rice. And the answer is simple. They are poor and they need modern day money to keep up with the costs charged in the local shops and stores.
My Question to the Quechuan President Javer Olivier and chairman of Yaku-Kawsanapa Project in Chazuta Tarapoto, which means ”Water is Life” in Quechaun.
“If we were to create a center of aquaponics whereby we could grow all manner of diverse food all year round in an ambient controlled environment and also add to the surroundings, a permaculture fruit and vegetation source, based on cleansing water and providing all year round food. QUESTION “would this infact remove the need for people to enter the forest and distroy the soil structure and water”?
Javier Olivier’s Answer was a resounding””YES “”AND ADDED COMMENTS ” THAT WOULD BE AN INCREDIBLE REVERSAL”. And it is that simple.
Here is a wise man who is in charge of various indigenous tribes people, complaining about his own people creating the destruction in the Jungle he sees with his own eyes, being confronted with a solution to which he sees the benefit to all in a “win win” situation.
OUR SECOND QUESTION TO QUECHUAN PRESIDENT.
If we have now prevented the workers from returning to the jungle by offering the Aquaponics center as a perfect diversion and food retreat for all villagers then we could then plant HEMP and open this for industry. Hemp would replace the poor soil structures with a matting that would restructure and hold the hillsides together thus reduce all the landslides created by unwillful burning of cafe crops and trees. Hemp could then be the new produce of the jungle instead of wanton distruction, as HEMP creates Oxygen for the forest and this is well documented by those scientists and environmentalists who remain unwarped by the notion (driven out of nowhere) by modern fossil fuel corporations.
Answer. The government imposes heavy sentences on Hemp just now so this is not seen as a viable option.
Our Counter answer > “Then the governments need education ” YES he says.
End of conversation.
We are active here in San Martin District of Peru and around Tarapoto.
We have 4 minor projects which is creating BioGas, Bio Char, Bokashi and EM-1 work and we really need our Aquaponics demonstration unit funding for $2000 and building here in the MIP Headquarters. Please could you pass this notice on for others who really are conscious and want to become active in cleansing the amazon after all we are in direct touch with these people and are sympathetic to their needs and cause.
YOU CAN PLAY YOUR PART BY HELPING TO FUND THE FIRST DEMONSTRATION AQUAPONICS/AEROPONICS UNIT HERE IN HQ MIP, TARAPOTO, PERU.
